Serve Your Denver Community:
MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR SATURDAY FEBRUARY 25th to help with construction of a basement dorm at Open Doors.
We are anticipating the following tasks for 2/25 from 2 - 6pm:- Fix the bunk beds and reassemble them (they will be moved out the weekend before)
- Put bunk beds back into the two dorm spaces
- Put up new blinds in each of the dorm spaces
- Possibly finish painting trim and walls
- If there is extra time, paint the kitchen/bathrooms of one of the dorms
- If
you have women/young children or people who would rather work on
something else, we have a kitchen that we use for our preschool/church
services that can always use a deep cleaning as well as a nursery that
needs to be cleaned thoroughly
We would appreciate if you could bring the following:
- Paint brushes/rollers if they have some they like to use
- Buckets and rags as well as gloves for cleaning. Detergents if they have a preference.
THE AFRICAN REFUGEE FAMILY NEEDS HELP.
Some of you have already helped with the family that a family from
Restoration has supported assimilating to America. The husband of that
family desperately needs work. Although he is an English learner, his
English is rapidly improving, and he is eager to work. Although he is
not limited to these categories, some types of jobs he would qualify for
are manual labor (construction, roofing, landscaping), shelf stocking,
and cleaning jobs. If you know of someone who has an opening, please
contact Sara Gallegos at 303-522-8883 or sara.gallegos@gmail.com.

Kolkata City Mission (KCM) exists as a response to the
cries of the destitute. Through relationship with the urban poor, the
spiritually and physically hungry, we strive to serve the whole person.
To the children we bring an offering of education and dream building for
a better life. To the hungry we bring an offering of shelter. To the
poor of spirit we bring a message of love and kinship. As the need
change in urban communities, so our efforts will adapt. We will be
conducting a medical clinic and a business and leadership development
